New Stamp Issue

Sarajevo 1914 - 2014 

On June 28, 1914, the Austrian Archduke Francis Ferdinand and his wife Sophie were assassinated in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia, which was the final event that precipitated World War I.

On the day of issue, the special post office will be cancelling mail items with two special first-day postmarks.

Postmark 1 featuring Sophie:

Postmark 2 featuring Francis Ferdinand
