EMS puts Österreichische Post AG one step ahead of its competitors!

Representative survey conducted by INFO Research International: Hardly any serious alternatives for private customers!

The independent market and public opinion research institute INFO Research International has, on behalf of Österreichische Post AG, conducted a representative survey all over Austria among the customers of express, courier and messenger services. Private and business customers who had placed at least one order with an express, courier or messenger service within the last twelve or six months were asked for their opinion.

Practically everybody knows EMS!

EMS (Express Mail Service) brand awareness among those interviewed is at a sensational 96 - 98%!
In comparison: the competitor ranking as best known behind EMS achieves 56% among private customers. (see Figure)




Reliable, fast, and competent!

The EMS image values identified in the survey in many respects correspond to Österreichischen Post AG's own image profile:
Reliability, competence, and careful handling of deliveries rank among the values most appreciated by those interviewed, and Österreichische Post AG meets these requirements to their customers' full satisfaction. Among private customers, EMS also has a clear lead over its competitors when it comes to criteria such as speediness, customer-oriented offering, customer friendliness, willingness to offer extra effort, and range of offering.
With more than 2300 post office branches providing access to the Österreichische Post AG's EMS service, it's no wonder that it is the private customers' first choice.

For Österreichische Post AG CEO Anton Wais, the high growth rates and the excellent results of the survey confirm that the company is on the right track: "We see the customer demands identified during the survey as an opportunity to be even more specifically attentive to the quickly changing requirements of our customers in the future."
In terms of focussing on customer requests, the company is already working on technical improvements, especially with respect to the tracking of deliveries and the automated production of proof of delivery documents.
