Österreichische Post AG: Constructive discussions between Management Board and Works Council

Pressemeldung from 19.03.2003

Delivery backlogs to be worked off by next Monday at the latest

Today, the Management Board and the Works Council came to an agreement on how to proceed further:
To both sides, meeting customer requirements and thus ensuring the company’s success is equally important as responding to employee concerns.
The backlogs in deliveries having developed in some delivery centers as a result of works meetings held during the past few days will have been worked off completely by Monday at the latest. The representatives of the two sides agreed on subjecting an alternative calculation model for delivery to an in-depth analysis. The Works Council is going to submit further proposals for changes, which will then be examined and discussed by the management during the next few days.
One thing that there can be no doubt about is that the budget targets for 2003 will have to be fully met.
