New capacity model for postal deliveries
Pressemeldung from 02.04.2003
Productivity increase to meet budget goals for 2003
Extra bonuses through quality criteria
An alternative model for calculating delivery parameters submitted last week by the Works Council has been analyzed and verified by the management these past few days. Approaches from this model have now been integrated into a new capacity model developed by the management side. For the first time in the company’s history, the just completed and agreed upon new variant for the calculation of the need for personnel in the individual delivery units provides for a profit sharing model. About 20% of cost cuts achieved will be distributed to the employees by way of profit sharing.
This extra productivity and quality bonus can amount to extra earnings for delivery personnel, depending on their type of work, of € 360 to 720 per year. Average extra earnings amounting to as much as € 470 from the raise in compensation for the delivery of Info.Post items will remain unchanged.
With this agreement, it is possible to achieve the productivity increase stipulated by the budget for 2003 as well as to introduce a bonus system for postal delivery staff linked to the quality and productivity of the services provided.
The new capacity model with the profit sharing approach will help to meet the budget goals specified by the company’s owner.
