About a fifth of management positions held by women

During the past few years, the share of female employees at Österreichische Post AG has been rising constantly. The 30th International Women’s Day furnishes a good occasion for Österreichische Post AG to take a closer look: today, about a third of the company – 33.7 percent – is in the hands of women, which corresponds to 8,813 female employees. At Österreichische Post AG, the “most feminine” region is Upper Austria. Here, the share of female employees is 38.6 percent. Following closely are Styria (36.7 percent) and Carinthia (35.7 percent).

The first and second management levels at Österreichische Post AG can boast 19 percent women.
The largest share of female employees can be found in the Branch Network division: with 53 percent, female employees have overtaken males ones.
And about every third letter is delivered to your doorstep by a woman.

The future of postal services is female
The figures show: more “woman power” for the future of postal services.
Österreichische Post AG pays particular attention to promoting young female employees:
in the under 25 age bracket, the female share is almost 40 percent!

The average age of female employees at Österreichische Post AG is 41 years. With 39.9 years, Tirol/Vorarlberg is Österreichische Post AG’s “youngest” region. followed by the Vienna/Lower Austria/Burgenland region with an average age of 40.3 years. At 41.4 years a little above the average, Salzburg, holds the third rank.
