Sophie Thanner new head of human resources legal department

Sophie Thanner takes over Österreichische Post AG’s human resources legal department. In her new position, she is the first point of contact for all legal questions arising within the context of employment relations. Thanner reports directly to Kurt Babirath, head of Human Resources Management. 

After graduating from law school at the University of Vienna, 32-year-old Vienna-based Thanner started to work for the law firm Dr. Hans Pernkopf. During her post-graduate doctoral studies, Sophie Thanner worked as an assistant lecturer at the Institute for Social and Labor Law, for the European Banking Association, and several law firms in New York. After completing her doctoral studies, she signed up with Hügel & Partner. In February 2003, Sophie Thanner joined Österreichische Post AG’s employment relations department.
