In November 2017 Austrian Post has won the 2nd place at the Austrian Sustainability Reporting Award (ASRA), the award for the best sustainability reports in Austria, in the category “separate sustainability report of large companies”. The ASRA honors those Austrian companies, which fulfill the requirements towards sustainable business in an excellent way and which describe it transparently in their sustainability report.
Carbon Disclosure Project 2017
In 2017 Austrian Post was awarded an “A score” and included in the „CDP Climate A List“ as the only company in Austria. This prestigious recognition not only confirms Austrian Post’s transparent environmental reporting but also serves as evidence of the quality of the initiated climate protection measures. CDP is the world’s largest database for corporate environmental and climate change information and is extensively used by capital market participants to evaluate potential investments.
Austrian Post again is a member of the sustainability index VÖNIX in 2017/2018. VÖNIX includes those Austrian companies listed on the Vienna Stock Exchange which are leading in regard to ecological and social activities.
With the largest e-vehicle fleet in Austria, Austrian Post is a pioneer in the field of “green logistics” and was awarded with the EPCON AWARD in 2017. The EPCON AWARD of the conference and seminar provider IIR is awarded for outstanding energy projects.
Energy Globe Award Vienna und Energy Globe Award Austria in the category “air”
Austrian Post was awarded with the „Energy Globe Vienna“ and the “Energy Globe Austria 2017“-Award in the category “air” for the project “The green world of yellow-branded Post – the model region E-Mobility Post and the project “Green Vienna”. The Energy Globe awards excellent projects with focus on protection of resources, energy efficiency and use of renewable energy.
BMÖ Supply Chain Sustainability Special Award
The Federal Association of Materials Management, Purchasing and Logistics (BMÖ) in Austria awarded companies for their excellent performance along the value added chain during the event „Österreichisches EinkaufsForum 2017“. Austrian Post was awarded with the Supply Chain Sustainability Special Award for its e-mobility activities and CO2-neutral delivery.
The sustainability activities of Austrian Post were analyzed and evaluated positively by oekom research, one of the world's leading rating agencies in sustainable investments. In particular targets and measures regarding environmental and climate protection were highlighted such as the relatively high proportion of electric vehicles, as well as the implementation of health and safety standards.
The CSR activities of Austrian Post were awarded with the „Silver Recognition Level“ by EcoVadis in 2016. EcoVadis is a sustainability assessment platform, which aims to improve the environmental and social activities of companies by CSR-Performance-Monitoring within the supply chain and to support companies in the improvement of sustainability.
Environmental Management System ISO 14001 in the Vienna Letter Centre
In November 2016 Austrian Post has implemented its first environmental management system ISO 14001:2015 in its largest operational unit, the Vienna Letter Centre. The focus is on waste optimisation and energy reduction and will be analysed annually by an external auditor, to ensure consistently low emissions.
IPC Silver Award 2016
Austrian Post actively participates in projects such as the “Environmental Measurement and Monitoring System (EMMS)” of the International Post Corporation (IPC) and was awarded with the IPC Silver Award in 2015.
Sustainability Award for Logistics 2016
Austrian Post is the winner of the fifth Sustainability Award for Logistics. In April 2016 the company has been awarded for its project “The green world of yellow-branded Post – the model region E-Mobility Post and the project “Green Vienna 2016”.
Austrian Solar Award 2016
In 2016 Austrian Post received the „Österreichischen Solarpreis 2016 für Transportsysteme mit erneuerbaren Energien“ for its project „model region E-Mobility Post and Green Vienna“.
The project „Green Vienna 2016“ was nominated for the Umwelttechnologiepreis DAPHNE and was awarded as DAPHNE Excellent Project.
