Item tracking

Our additional service "item tracking" is available at no extra charge for the basic products PRIO packet S and PRIO packet M. Österreichische Post will provide a certificate of posting and will document it.
Sender and recipient can go to www.post.at and use the item number to follow the item's status. Our additional service "item tracking" cannot be combined with other additional services (e.g., registered mail, cash-on-delivery).
Items that exceed length + width + height = 900 mm and are smaller than the format L 1000 mm x W 600 mm x H 600 mm can be sent with the additional service "item tracking" only.
Your item will also be insured against loss, theft and damage for up to EUR 50.

Registered mail

The sender of a registered PRIO item receives a certificate of posting and the delivery of the item will be documented. Thanks to the registration number, you can follow your item's journey at all times. The latest status is available in our "item tracking" service. You will see if your item is ready for pickup at a postal branch, if it has already been delivered, if the recipient has rejected it or if we had to return the item to you. Your item will also be insured against loss, theft and damage for up to EUR 75.
Valuables (e.g., money, securities, precious metals) may only be sent as items with insured value.

Sender information via text message or e-mail

When you post a registered mail item at the counter, you as the sender have the option of paying an additional fee to use the additional service "sender information" and provide your e-mail address or mobile phone number. You will then automatically receive a delivery notification via the channel you have chosen.
This service is available in Austria only.
Sender information can be used for up to 50 items.

Advice of delivery

An advice of delivery is a confirmation signed by the recipient to inform you that your registered PRIO letter has been delivered. This advice of delivery will be forwarded to you and you will know exactly who your item was delivered to. This additional service is EUR 2.20. Advice of delivery forms are available free of charge at all Österreichische Post service locations.
This service is only available in combination with "registered mail" and for PRIO items only. The information "advice of delivery" needs to visible be on the address side of the item.

Deliver to addressee only

Use this option to have your item delivered to the addressee only or to an authorised agent.
This additional service is not available for all countries and only in combination with "registered mail" and for PRIO items only. In specific countries, the "deliver to addressee in person" service is only available in combination with the "advice of receipt" service. The information "deliver to addressee only" needs to be visible on the address side of the item.

Do not deliver to persons authorised to receive mail

If you choose this service, your registered item will only be delivered to the addressee in person and not to persons authorised to receive mail.
This service is only available in combination with "registered mail" and "delivery to addressee only" and for PRIO items only. The information "Do no deliver to persons authorised to receive mail" needs to be clearly visible above the address.
