If the addressee of your express item is only home on business days between 7:00 and 10:00 a.m., this service is for you. Choose this service to have your EMS delivered to the addressee on the business day after posting by 10:00 a.m. Just post your item at the postal service location of your choice. This service is only available for EMS items sent to regional capitals.
In Austria, EMS doesn't rest on weekends. For EMS items posted on Friday (provided it is a business day), we will, upon request by the sender, deliver them to the addressee on Saturday by noon.
Upon request by the sender, the addressee will be asked to provide proof of her or his identity in order to receive the item. Just post your item at the postal service location of your choice. This service is available for all addresses in Austria.
With this service, Austrian Post will send a text message or an e-mail to the EMS sender as soon as the item has been delivered to the addressee. This service is free of charge.
With this service, Austrian Post will send a text message or an e-mail to the EMS addressee to let her or him know that the EMS item is on its way. This serviceis free of charge.
This service requires recipients to pay the amount indicated by the sender first. Only then will she or he receive the item you have sent. Austrian Post will transfer the money collected on your behalf to the bank account specified by you (our cash-on-delivery service is available for all addresses in Austria.)
If you choose to mail valuables through Austrian Post, you can be sure that they are in very good hands. Mail cash, cheques, securities, credit cards or ATM cards, jewellery, precious metals etc. as all as any other items worth more than € 510 as an insured item. Insured items are transported under special supervision.
Insured items may have a maximum value of EUR 25,000.
If the indicated value exceeds € 1,500, please seal your item with sealing wax or a sealing band.
If the content of your EMS item is fragile or sensible to vibrations, please affix our "fragile" sticker to it. Items labelled as fragile will be handled with extra care and will be sorted and distributed manually.
Items may be posted at any Austrian Post service location.

Should, in exceptional cases, a domestic EMS item arrive more than 15 minutes late at the recipient's, we will refund the postage and fees for additional services (excluding insured parcels) to the sender upon request. (All claims must be made within three weeks after posting the EMS item).
Timely delivery guarantee
In exceptional cases, your domestic EMS item might be delivered to the recipient more than 30 minutes after the indicated time. In that case, we will reimburse you for the postage fee (including, if applicable, the time-specific EMS surcharge). All you have to do is get in touch with us within three weeks after posting your EMS item.
