Expansion of market presence of Austrian Post in the CEE region
The closing of the acquisition of a 100% shareholding in the company 24VIP Logistics Services d.o.o. in Bosnia and Herzegovina by Austrian Post took place on October 2, 2008. The acquisition of 24VIP enables Austrian Post to further strengthen its market presence in Eastern and South Eastern Europe, and to determinedly pursue its expansion strategy.

24VIP transports and delivers approximately 100,000 parcels and pallets annually, generating annual revenue of EUR 1.8m. The focus of 24 VIP’s business operations is the delivery of parcels and individually packaged goods in the business-to-business (B2B) segment. The headquarters of 24VIP are located in Sarajevo. The company has 24 delivery vehicles at its disposal, operates a nationwide network in Herzegovina, Bosnia and the Republic of Srpska, and has established excellent international links to Croatia, Austria and Germany.
Following the acquisition of VIP24, Austrian Post is now represented in the parcels segment in Eastern and South Eastern Europe through the following subsidiaries:

Croatia: Overseas (2003)
Hungary: Merland Express und Road Parcel (2007)
