Delivery vans used for relief transports
No banking charges levied on contributions to disaster relief for flood victims

Tuesday; 13 August 2002. Today the management board of Österreichische Post AG passed a resolution to the effect that employees of the Austrian Postal Service will be made available with immediate effect for helping fire brigades and other rescue teams in the flood regions, provided that there are free capacities at the offices concerned.
Postal delivery vans currently not needed because of the restrictions in local delivery can be used for food transports and similar activities, to be coordinated with the leaders of the local relief teams.
Contributions to disaster relief for the flood victims can be made free of banking charges.
