We will be happy to ship hazardous goods to destinations in Austria by sending limited amounts as defined in chapter 3.4 of the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods Agreement as hazardous goods letter mail items, special-handling parcels or special-handling EMS. These items require unequivocal labelling and reliable packaging, i.e. at least double packaging.
There are strict limitations to sending hazardous goods in the mail, which is why we kindly ask you to get in touch ahead of time:

Domestic transportation of hazardous goods
We will be happy to transport your hazardous goods to destinations in Austria. Austrian Post will ship these goods as sensitive items. Available options include hazardos goods letter mail item, parcel and EMS item with special shipping. All these items need to be clearly labelled and need safe double packaging as a minimum requirement.
There are important limitations to shipping hazardous goods by mail.

International transport of hazardous goods
Transport of hazardous goods to international destinations is available for patient samples (contagious substances classified as 6.2) to specific countries:

Austrian Post will not ship any other hazardous substances to international destinations. As a general rule, hazardous goods are never shipped by air.
Exceptions apply for Switzerland, Slovenia and Slovakia and Germany.
Parcels containing limited amounts of hazardous gods (chapter 3.4 ADR) may be shipped as sensitive parcels labelled as "bulky" to the first three countries. Important limitations to shipping hazardous goods by mail apply. Only limited volumes may be sent to Germany.
