An overview of the client's initial situation and our approach to solving it.

A well-known company from the automotive industry needed to print, enclose and dispatch a wide range of personalised customer letters with enclosures. These highly individual mailings were printed and assembled manually by staff on site. Operating their own printing equipment and maintaining stock led to high costs. In addition, the process was extremely time-consuming.

Together with the client, a tailored solution was developed and a new process defined. Since early 2020, Post Business Solutions has taken over the production of these mailings. Letters are printed and, if required, combined with a pre-printed insert. The system can automatically recognise this based on the customer number, which also helps reduce postage costs. The file name identifies the type of paper to be used for printing. If a mailing exceeds the weight limit, it is automatically split into two items. Registered letters are automatically routed into a separate process. Thanks to the closed-loop procedure, any faulty items are automatically sorted out during the GDPR-compliant enclosing process and reprinted. After verification, all items are submitted directly to the postal system.
