MSCI ESG RESEARCH

The MSCI Environmental, Social and Governance Rating assesses companies according to the best-in-class approach within the industry. In 2022, we once again received the best possible result AAA. 

ISS ESG

ISS ESG is one of the world's leading rating agencies in the sustainable investment segment. In the ESG Corporate Rating of 2022, we were awarded Prime status for our sustainability activities. This Prime rating makes us one of the leading companies in the sustainability sector in the transport and logistics industry.

CARBON DISCLOSURE PROJECT

The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) is the world's largest database for company-relevant environmental and climate information, which is widely used by capital market participants to assess potential investments. In 2022, we achieved a very good result: an A rating. This result not only highlights our transparent environmental reporting, but also the quality of our climate protection measures.

S & P GLOBAL CORPORATE
SUSTAINABILITY ASSESSMENT (CSA)

In 2022, Austrian Post again actively participated in S&P Global's Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA). The CSA is considered one of the leading global sustainability benchmarks and is characterised by comprehensive industry-specific questions. Austrian Post received a score of 54 out of 100 points in 2022. This placed Austrian Post in the 89th percentile in the transport & transport logistics industry, which means that 89% of companies achieved a lower or at most equal ESG score.

 

SUSTAINALYTICS

Sustainalytics is one of the best-known ESG rating agencies and assesses the sustainability risks of companies. Thanks to its srong sustainability management 2022, Austrian Post was 
rated as "Low Risk" (15.7 out of 50 risk points), which puts us at the top of the list.

 

EFFECTIVE SUSTAINABILITY
COMMUNICATOR AWARD

Austrian Post placed first in the Effective Sustainability Communicator Austria Award 2022, which analysed not only the sustainability reports of ATX companies but also the coherent reporting on sustainability across all communication media. The award was presented by the consulting firm Kirchhoff Consult and the HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management.

 

AUSTRIAN SUSTAINABILITY
REPORTING AWARD

In the Austrian Sustainability Reporting Award (ASRA) - the prize for the best Austrian sustainability reports - Austrian Post achieved second place in the category "Capital market-oriented companies (excluding banks and insurance companies)" in 2022. The ASRA is awarded to Austrian companies that exemplarily implement the requirement to provide comprehensive, clear, and transparent information on their sustainability performance.

AUSTRIA’S LEADING COMPANIES AWARD

In May 2022, Austrian Post received the Austria's Leading Companies (ALC) Award in the category "Sustainability" presented by "Die Presse", KSV1870, and PwC. This category recognises companies that actively address ESG aspects to ensure their long-term success. This award once again confirms Austrian Post's pioneering role in green logistics.

AWARDS FOR OUR GREENPACK

The ecological reusable packaging "GreenPack", developed in cooperation with the Upper Austria University of Applied Sciences, received numerous awards. The State Prize for Smart Packaging 2022 was awarded by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Economic Affairs in cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Climate Protection, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology. Austrian Post was honoured for its "Green Packaging" at this year's award ceremony and received the special prize for innovation. Every year, the BUSINESSART magazine team looks for sustainability heroes who are honoured as "sustainable designers". This year, the "GreenPack" was recognised for its innovative character and sustainable core. It also won the coveted VCO Mobility Award 2022 in the category "Climate-contracted freight transport and logistics". Ultimately, the "Green Packaging" turned out to be an extraordinary success story in the reporting year.

ECO PERFORMANCE AWARD

The Eco Performance Award honours innovative and application-oriented corporate strategies that combine economic, ecological, and social aspects. In addition to economic success and commitment to environmental protection, the award also honours social commitment to employees and society. The initiator of the award is the University of St. Gallen. Austrian Post won the Eco Performance Award 2022 with its "Grünes Graz" project. Austrian Post’s goal is to deliver all domestic items (letters, advertising mail, print products and parcels) CO2 free by 2030. This means that deliveries will be made exclusively on foot, by bicycle or with electric vehicles. In Graz, the ambitious goal of completely CO2-free delivery has already been achieved.
