Relocating comes with plenty of tasks – so it’s good to know your mail will reliably follow you. With Austrian Post’s mail redirection service, important letters, invoices and notifications are forwarded directly to your new address.

To make sure nothing gets lost, be sure to set up your mail redirection in good time. It’s the simple and hassle-free way to ensure all important mail reaches you at your new home.

What is a mail redirection service and how does it work?

A mail redirection service ensures that your post continues to reach you reliably after you move house. You can set it up easily online or in any Austrian Post branch or with an Austrian Post Partner – ideally at least three buiness days before your chosen start date.

  1. Click on Set up mail redirection or visit your local Austrian Post branch or Austrian Post Partner.
  2. Place your order no later than 3 business days before the desired start date.
  3. Select the reason for redirection (relocation or temporary absence) and the preferred duration (minimum 3 months, maximum 12 months).
  4. Provide your current address and list all individuals for whom the redirection should apply.
  5. Enter your new address (the forwarding address).
  6. Choose the types of mail to be redirected (please note: parcels and Post Express items can only be redirected within Austria).
  7. At checkout, choose from a wide range of payment methods.
  8. Your mail will be reliably forwarded to the address you specified.
