What is EinfachBrief service?

EinfachBrief is an innovative service by Österreichische Post that allows users to upload and send business letters online. After selected items have been uploaded, Österreichische Post will take care of everything else and will deliver letters either by mail or, upon request, as e-letters. As a matter of course, all letter handling processes are secure and comply with all GDPR specifications.

How letter sending with our EinfachBrief service works

Thanks to the intuitive user interface, our EinfachBrief service is easy to use. The system will take you through the mailing process step by step.

  1. Create your letters and items as you usually do in your word processing programme and save your work in PDF format.
  2. As a next step, upload your PDF file(s) to the EinfachBrief portal. You can choose from the following options:  
    individual item or mail merge, print in black and white or in colour, print on one side or on two sides, etc.  You can also select registered mail or indicate that your item includes enclosures.
  3. The portal will then automatically recognise if the recipients use the e-letter service and if they do, the system will offer you the option of delivering your items in a digital format. For all other letters, Österreichische Post will take care of everything else for you: printing, envelope stuffing, franking, posting, and delivery in the mail.
